We are distributed throughout the United States in Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Florida.

 

 

Presently

Kristin stays busy with her job testing software for a national defense contractor, cooking and baking, staying in touch with family and friends, toying with photography, and playing with their English cocker spaniels, Monty and Sully.

Background

Kristin grew up in Minnesota on the farm. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from the University of Minnesota. Kristin became involved with ASON at its founding when she was living in Orlando, Florida as a Naval officer teaching at the Navy’s Nuclear Power Training School. During this time frame in the late 1990’s, Kristin was privileged to participate in two missions trips with ASON to the Dominican Republic. Kristin was also a charter board member. Since then, Kristin moved to Maryland and married Cameron, who also participated in a Dominican missions trip in 2005 to build kitchen cabinets for national Rafael Mendez and his family, and who also has been an ASON board member.

Presently

Seth is a tenured associate professor of organic chemistry at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD. Seth and Kristi have two young sons, Kade and Brannon.

Background

Seth has a passion for international missions and is attending Community Christian Church in Salisbury Maryland.  

Seth has experience with international missions, has been supportive of ASON's ministries for many years, and has an analytical mind trained by theology and faith.

 

Presently

 Carla works as a chemical engineer in Midland, Michigan. 

Background

Carla appreciates the Christian teaching and example of her parents as she grew up in northern Illinois.  She received her chemical engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  After moving to Michigan she went to the Dominican Republic on a short term mission trip led by Ellen Abramson.  Since then she’s had the opportunity to take short term trips to Jamaica, Peru, Mexico, and Russia.  She also volunteers locally at Royal Family Kids Camp, an opportunity for children in foster care to experience God’s love in a fun setting.   She enjoys seeing God work in the lives of people, including those of different cultures.  Her hobbies include playing the piano, bicycling, and reading mystery stories.

 

Presently

Doreen is currently living in Arizona with her husband Steve.  She is completing her Master of Arts in Religion Global Studies through Liberty University.

Background

 

Doreen is a CPA and Chartered Global Management Accountant, AICPA; spent 2 years in Cameroon as an Assistant Comptroller with the Cameroon Baptist Convention, and has worked in the financial arena with Washington Mutual Bank, Washington Mutual and WMI Liquidating Trust in California and Washington.

 

Doreen has a passion for global missions, and compassion for the lost and hurting.  Oh, she also has a great sense of humor!

 

Presently

As a pastor’s wife Janet wears many hats and do whatever needs to be done.  In addition to assisting her husband with ministry she teaches Inductive Bible Study and Bible Doctrine to kids in the 5th-8th grade.  Janet also regularly play piano for the church and leads contemporary music worship once a month during the worship service.

Background

Janet met her husband at Northwestern College – Roseville, MN.  It was his senior year (after serving 5 years in the Navy) and her first year.  They were married a month after he graduated.  God directed them to Bethel Seminary for his MDiv during their first year of marriage.  After four years at Bethel, God led them to Cornell, WI where they have served nearly twenty-one years. When Janet's husband Jim finished his DMin in 2009, the Lord led her to go back to school to finish her degree.  Janet graduated with a Christian Ministry degree through Crown College’s on-line program in July 2013.

Janet's spiritual gifts are service, mercy and teaching.  She loves children and loves to teach and mentor young girls. Jim and Janet were never able to have children so they do what they can for other children.  They will celebrate twenty-six years of marriage June 2014.

Presently

Andrew is an ESL teacher, teaching advanced English to Hispanic and African Immigrants in Willmar, Minnesota.

Background

Andrew has a Bachelors from Northwestern College in Elementary Education with emphasis in Missions. God has given Andrew a gift for being a leader and a passion for ministry, traveling, and teaching.  Some experience that he has in those fields include; church planting, short term mission project coordinating, children's ministry, as well as teaching in different Willmar schools. Andrew speaks Spanish, and leading groups is something he really enjoys, especially if it involves language, culture or missions. 

Presently

Dale is retired after 48 years in the aerospace industry, currently pursuing hobbies playing instrumental music, researching family heritage, with an increasing involvement in Christian/church activities.  In addition, Dale and Linda look forward to spending time with two adult daughters, two adult sons, and seven grandchildren scattered across the United States.

Background

Dale has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, plus Master’s Degrees in Environmental Studies and Business Administration.  He served as an Air Force Officer during the Vietnam War, and throughout his career focused on the design, development, and production of military aircraft – managing engineering and program organizations involved in these projects.

Over the years, Dale and Linda have participated with and supported a variety of missionaries and missionary teams including ASON.  We believe that the support of such people and teams needs to be an essential component of our Christian walk.

 

Presently

Judy is a wife, mother of 4 grown children and grandmother of 11 children. Ages 3 to 22 years old. Judy attends church at Hope Episcopal Church.

Judy owns and manages an Independent Agent Office, Ignite Payments Prestige. She has been in the Merchant Service Provider industry for over 26 years. She is universally respected as a leader in the industry and has participated in many industry wide panel discussions, and is a perennial member of the First Data Ignite Payments President’s Club.

Background

Prior to taking over Ignite Payment Prestige, Judy was a manufacturer’s representative for Vogue and Butterick Pattern Company, Hoffman Fabrics, Concord Fabrics and Streamline Button Company. Over a period of 15 years, Judy developed and managed a customer base throughout the western region of the US.

Judy was instrumental in conceiving the original concept behind Plug n’ Pay Technologies and provided much of the industry knowledge and access to ensure the successful launch and on-going growth of the company.

She is also a co-founder of the Bishop Masereka Christian Foundation (US) Inc.

Hobbies are gardening, cycling, golf, swimming, horse and dog activities.

Presently

Susie is a wife and mother and Vice President of Classic Homes of Brevard. She and her husband Larry have built custom homes in the Melbourne, FL area since 1979. Susie is a bookkeeper and interior designer and has furnished model homes over the years for their business.

Background

Susie was raised in a Christian family and was saved and baptized at 8 years old. While in the Girl’s Auxiliary program through the Baptist church she studies about missions and wanted to become a missionary. She majored in Deaf Education at the University of Tennessee, but instead of working in that field she became a flight attendant based in California for 12 years before coming to Florida. In addition to helping Larry in the building business, Susie started a gymnastics academy and ran that business for 13 years.

She and Larry have been married 36 years and have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Since meeting Ellen Abramson she has gone on two mission trips to the Dominican Republic and sponsors two children from there. Susie’s hobbies include travel, reading and bead work.
