A Home Completed: An Update from the Dominican Republic
In July, as Ellen Abramson visited the Dominican Republic, we reached out to you, our supporters, with an urgent request: to complete the construction of a home for a family in desperate need before the new school year began.
Your response was nothing short of remarkable. Within just one week, we raised the necessary funds, and thanks to your generosity, the home was finished on time.
The impact on this family has been life-changing. For six children who had been living in a cramped, moldy apartment, sharing three mattresses on the floor of a single room, this new home is a true sanctuary. Now, each child has space to rest, feel safe, and wake up refreshed. As they begin school, they no longer carry the burden of unstable living conditions, allowing them to focus on their education and their future.
We are deeply grateful to every one of you who made this dream a reality. Your kindness has provided relief, hope, and joy for this family, and we are certain that the long-term effects of your generosity will be profound. Thank you for your ongoing support, prayers, and for being part of this life-changing journey.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are already looking ahead. In the summer of 2025, we plan to purchase land and build a home for the second oldest son of this family, Rafelito, who is deaf and ready to begin his own life now that his family is living in stable conditions. Stay tuned for more details on how you can be part of this next project.
Once again, thank you for your unwavering commitment. Together, we are making a lasting difference!
