Today, we cut the first 500 patterns in preparation for staff training, which is now right around the corner. Each step brings us closer to launching a project designed to sustain this ministry long-term.

As we approach the end of the year, we are grateful for the steady and encouraging progress taking place across all of our fields. In this update, we want to focus specifically on Ghana, where significant steps are being taken to strengthen educational infrastructure and expand long-term opportunity.

When I first visited the field in South Asia in 2023, I spent time in many of our rural churches. What stood out immediately were the humble church structures paired with remarkably strong congregations—believers worshiping faithfully and boldly despite ongoing persecution.

Every year, ASON International ushers in the Christmas season by sending a mission team to the Dominican Republic to help prepare and host the Child Sponsorship Christmas Party.

As 2025 draws to a close, we pause with grateful hearts to reflect on all that God has done—and to thank you for walking this journey with us. On September 12th, Word International School officially launched its new computer lab.

From worship services at Adonai Church to splashing in the pool at summer camp, our recent trip to the Dominican Republic was filled with moments of joy, faith, and forward momentum. The T-shirt factory project is moving rapidly toward production this September—an important step toward self-sufficiency for Mano a Mano con Adonai—and summer camp once again gave our sponsored children the safe space, freedom, and love they long for all year.

This June, a team of 17—mostly teenagers—from Michigan and North Dakota is heading to the Dominican Republic for a construction mission trip. Join us in prayer and support as they build more than just walls—they’re building a future.

Our national pastor in South Asia recently faced arrest amid rising persecution, enduring harsh conditions and verbal abuse. Yet, through unwavering faith and the steadfast support of his congregation, he was released and remains a powerful testimony of courage and hope. During our recent mission trip to Ghana, we celebrated the grand opening of our Senior High School, marking a significant milestone for the community. Witnessing the joyful students and proud community leaders reinforced the importance of our mission. Now, we face the exciting challenge of raising funds to add a fourth floor for science and computer labs, further empowering students for the future.

Our recent mission trip to Ghana was a powerful testament to God's divine appointments. A diverse team of 13 individuals—spanning generations and backgrounds—came together to serve, teach, and uplift communities in faith. From pastors and chaplains to first-time travelers stepping out in faith, each member played a unique role in this transformative journey. Despite the physical challenges of long days in the heat, unfamiliar food, and exhausting travel, the fruits of the Spirit were on full display. This experience was more than just a trip—it was a reminder that when we step out in faith, we are never walking alone.

One of the key distinctions of ASON International is our mission to incubate ministries and guide them toward self-sustainability. While achieving this vision in South Asia remains a long-term goal, we’re encouraged by the steps we’ve taken over the past few years. One significant milestone has been the purchase of land designated for economic development—a foundation for future growth and self-reliance.

As the Christmas season unfolds, we reflect on the profound meaning of Christ's birth. This year, let us hold close the words of the angel to the shepherds:

"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord" (Luke 2:10-11, NIV).

Over a year ago, we shared the story of a remarkable pastor in South Asia whose life and ministry deeply moved us. Today, we are thrilled to share a joyous update—thanks to your generosity and prayers, the much-needed well for this pastor’s home and church has been funded and recently completed.
