A Look Back at 2024 and the Path Ahead with ASON International

Dear Supporters,

As we approach the close of 2024, we find ourselves deeply grateful for the journey we’ve shared with you. Through your prayers, your generous gifts, your hands-on efforts, and your steadfast support, you have been the lifeblood of ASON International’s mission. Together, we have been able to transform communities, uplift lives, and spread God’s love in profound and lasting ways. Every act of kindness, every prayer, and every gift you’ve offered has illuminated a path of hope, becoming a testament to the boundless grace of our Lord.

This past year has been nothing short of miraculous, with God’s hand evident across our fields in South Asia, Ghana, and the Dominican Republic. In South Asia, where resources are limited and our pastors serve amid persecution, we witnessed an extraordinary example of faith’s power. A pastor from one of our village churches, who had suffered a severe electrocution, was declared dead at the hospital. Through the fervent prayers of his father and our national partner, he was miraculously revived hours later, reinforcing the faith of his congregation and inspiring all of us. In this challenging region, where we now serve 670 believers across 225 villages and 139 house churches, we celebrated 41 new baptisms this year—a true testament to the power of faith in the face of adversity. Your prayers and support help us reach those most in need, particularly as persecution often rises during the Holiday season.

In Ghana, God has propelled our ministry forward in transformative ways. On Easter Sunday, six new believers were baptized in a new, safe, and clean baptismal, replacing the hazardous local water source previously used.

This was made possible through your unwavering support. We’ve also made significant progress on the Senior High School project, reducing our funding need from $72,000 to just $32,600, with the school on track for grand opening in February 2025 during our mission trip.

In the Dominican Republic, your generosity has transformed lives in ways beyond words. A family of six children, once living in mold-ridden, overcrowded conditions, now has a safe, stable home—a three-bedroom sanctuary where they can focus on their futures without the weight of uncertainty. The joy and relief this home brings is immeasurable, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you who made this blessing possible.

As we step into a new year, our hearts are set on finishing the Senior High School in Ghana and launching two new projects in the Dominican Republic: a new home for Rafelito, a 24-year-old deaf student, and a playground for Adonai Evangelical School and Jardin de Niños Daycare. South Asia, our most challenging mission field, remains an area of profound need, where persecuted Christians require substantial support to worship safely.

As we close the year, we humbly ask you to consider a generous gift as part of your Holiday giving. Your immediate support directly strengthens our mission, bringing hope and tangible change to communities in need. Together, we can make a profound impact in the lives of those we serve today.

We also invite you to join our “Leave a Legacy” program, allowing you to make a lasting impact. By including ASON in your long-term plans—whether in your Living Will, Trust, or as a beneficiary of your retirement accounts or insurance—you ensure that your legacy continues to touch lives for years to come. Through these thoughtful actions, you can leave a legacy of hope and transformation that endures.

Thank you for your continued partnership in this journey of faith. May you be richly blessed this season of giving and in the year ahead.

In His Service,

Ellen Abramson - Founding President
