Building God's Kingdom: Join Our 2026 Construction Mission Trip

Every year, ASON International strives to offer one construction mission trip that brings together servant hearts for transformative work in the field. Over the last years we have built an addition for a T-shirt factory that is now opening doors as a new self-sustaining ministry business by the name of Adonai Textile, painted and furnished a daycare business for Adonai by the name of Jardín de Niños, and built several homes for people in need. Each time, these construction mission trips bring servant hearts together in experiences that are deeply rewarding and transforming—for both those who serve and the people they serve.

This year we have chosen a construction project that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We have chosen to work with a new pastor serving a new congregation in a completely new field. While our recent construction projects have been in the heart of Los Guaricanos in the inner city, this time we will be working in the rural northwest of the Dominican Republic, in Villa Vázquez—nestled in the countryside close to Monte Cristi. We will be building a church for Pastor Joel Jerez, who has already built a thriving church congregation of over 100 members. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help establish a new congregation and bring the hope of Christ to a new community.

We will arrive to a poured foundation, and our mission will be to lay all the brick for all walls so the roof can be poured after we leave. This is foundational work in every sense—we'll be creating the structure that will house this faithful congregation for generations to come. We will join the congregation in worship both prior to and after completion of the project, experiencing fellowship with our Dominican brothers and sisters in ways that transcend language and culture. We'll also spend one day on the coast for a retreat, allowing time for rest, reflection, and team bonding as we process what God is doing in and through us.

Projects like this don't come around often. Very careful vetting took place prior to planning this mission trip to ensure that this new field is safe and can provide the proper accommodations for us to stay and be productive. We want you to come with confidence, knowing that the groundwork has been laid for a successful and secure experience. We are looking for at least 20 people to join us. No special skills are required—just a willing heart and a strong relationship with the Lord. Whether you've never picked up a trowel or you're a seasoned builder, there's a place for you on this team. Mission training will be provided prior to the trip, and experienced construction workers will be training and guiding us the entire way. Locals will ensure that we are kept safe so we can get into our hearts, do kingdom work, and allow God to surprise us with divine appointments that have been prepared for us in advance to be written onto our hearts.

Please check out the video for an idea about what to expect, and review the listing for the mission trip by pressing the button below. Most importantly, pray about joining us. Ask God if He's calling you to be part of building His church in Villa Vázquez this summer. This could be the trip that changes your life while changing the lives of Pastor Joel's congregation. Will you answer the call?
