Progress in Ghana: Building for the Future
There is something deeply moving about watching a vision take shape in real time. In Ghana, that is exactly what is happening—and we are grateful for every step forward.
When our team was in Ghana, we made a commitment to fund one final building for the school we have been supporting. What began as a conversation about adding a fourth floor to the existing structure eventually led us in a different direction. After careful review, it became clear that a separate, standalone building was the wiser path forward. A fourth floor would have introduced accessibility challenges and limited the school's ability to grow. A new building, by contrast, gives the school room to breathe—and room to expand as the needs of the community continue to develop.
This new structure will serve students in meaningful, practical ways. It will house additional classrooms, a fully equipped science laboratory, and dedicated rest and treatment areas for students who become ill during the school day while awaiting pickup. Each of these spaces addresses a real and pressing need—academically, physically, and practically.
Equipping the science lab with the right furniture and equipment is an important part of this next phase. We are actively raising funds not only to complete the building itself, but to ensure that when students walk through those doors, everything they need to learn and discover is ready and waiting for them.
As you can see in the video below, construction is moving along beautifully. The columns have been poured, the brickwork is complete, and windows are now going in—with doors, stucco, and paint to follow. We look forward to finishing this project in the near future, and we are trusting God to provide what is still needed to get there.
We stepped out in faith and began construction before this project was fully funded, and we are still actively raising funds to see it through to completion—including the furniture and equipment needed to bring the science lab to life. If you feel led to partner with us, we invite you to give, spread the word, and pray for this work. Your generosity is not just funding a construction project—it is investing in the next generation of students and the long-term flourishing of a community.
